Setting up the Heddle Loom. Showing how to string the warp thread using a crochet cotton for the first step in creating a weaving. Leave your cotton much longer then you think you'll need, to make binding off easier. Here I'm using "Butterfly Mercerized cotton", size "super 10" in ecru. Any crochet cotton will do.

How to loosely tie the warp to prevent tangling when weaving long pieces. It is recommended for your first projects you do smaller pieces and gradually work up to very long ones.

Winding the yarn on the shuttle. Here I am using "Bernat Roving" in Ecru. You can use any yarn thicker then sock weight, or use ribbon, fabric strips, strips of plastic bags. Use your imagination!
